SCIENTIST POSITION
SCIENTIST
Bechtel Nevada, a prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy,
has an immediate opening for a Scientist position at the Nevada Test Site,
sixty miles from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Preparation of industrial, ecological, and biological materials for analysis
for chemical constituents and radioactive components. Performs
chemical analyses in accordance with established protocols under the
direction of the laboratory supervisor. Operates and calibrates
electronic analytical instrumentation.
Recent college graduate with 0 to 2 years experience and a minimum BS
degree in Chemistry, Biology, Health Physics, or natural science, or
combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of basic
laboratory procedures and instrumentation. Experience in radiochemistry
techniques and environmental levels of detection analysis desired. Must
possess excellent oral/written skills of communication. Must possess
excellent mathematical skills.
Bechtel Nevada offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Salary Range: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on education and
