Dear Dr. Spitz,

I am curious about the position (below) posted a few days ago.
Can a foreigner apply? I have about 10 years of experience in
health physics (company specialist in radiology, nuclear power
safety) and other background that I believe is relevant. With
this context, some of my orientation at the nuclear power
company -"Vattenfall" (largest electricity producer in Sweden)
is toward research in radiation health issues.

I have worked and studied for about three years in different
places of the United States: Next visit will be the coming spring
- I obtained an invitation last week by the U.S. Air Force
Academy - to lecture in San Antonio and Colorado Springs
-my topics will be DNA double-strand breaks in relation to
radiosensitivity and also the EMF issue (biological effects
of magnetic pulses). Although my focus is on DNA DSBs I am
basically an interdisciplinary person concentrating on areas
where biology, chemistry and physics meet. I have a lot of
teaching experience, like to lecture (organizer and lecturer
of a yearly radiation biology course at the Medical Radiation
Physics Dept. at Karolinska Institutet). There is a chance
that I may visit the U.S. earlier this winter (I have strong
collaboration with the Radiation Oncology Dept., SUNY HSC
at Brooklyn which is one of several reasons for more upcoming
visits).

I am aware of other nuclear radiation related topics such
dose reconstruction (neutron induced Ni-63, ESR of dental
enamel), transmutation and related recent developments.
