You might want to keep in mind that many museums also want to nondestructively
test statues, sculptures and other odd shaped and sized items. I have used, via
a contracted service, sealed sources radiography to do these types of items.
You may want to check with you curator to see if they anticipate other need in
the future before spending money on a limited use device.
