We use the X9 dosimeters for environmental monitoring.  They seem to perform
well.
One word of warning.  If you plan to use them outside, the plastic pouch they
are sealed
in is not weatherproof as claimed.  If you do not put some sort of cover over
them, you will find standing water in the pouches.
