Sales Support Specialist

You will be responsible for providing technical pre-sales support to Sales
personnel and customers as well as preparing product quotations.  You will
also perform product demonstrations for customers and follow-up on sales
situations.

We require a bachelor's degree in a physical science, business, or
equivalent.  (Physical science majors - some general business experience
(sales, marketing, administration) preferred, business majors must have 1-2
years experience working in sales/marketing with scientific instruments.)
To qualify you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills,
PC proficiency - word processing and spreadsheets, excellent
organizational/planning skills, strong attention to detail and knowledge of
Canberra products a plus.  Some travel may be required.

International Sales Engineer

You will be responsible for providing field and in-house sales support to
International Representatives and customers including conducting product
demonstrations.  You will also provide  assistance in setting up new
International sales distribution networks and evaluating existing networks.
This position entails responsibilities that demand high energy level and a
willingness to take on extra responsibilities when needed.

We require a BS in a technical field, preferably Physics or equivalent
academic/work experience with 2+ years sales/marketing or applications
support experience.  To qualify you must be computer literate, have
excellent verbal and written communication skills and people skills, and
the ability to travel internationally up to 35%.  Experience working with
nuclear instrumentation preferred and knowledge of a foreign language a
plus.

Support Engineer

You will be responsible for providing technical support and training to our
customers who use Canberra spectroscopy products - (Genie PC, Genie 2000,
Genie-ESP) including: direct telephone support, traveling to customer sites
to provide training as well as installing or upgrading software and
developing training materials.  May also be required to perform minor
software code changes.

We require a BS in a technical field or equivalent with 3-5 years
programming experience.  Nuclear Power Plant experience a plus.  To qualify
you must have solid spectroscopy skills (gamma required, alpha spec a
plus), working knowledge of Windows 95/NT, (Open VMS knowledge helpful),
outstanding verbal and written communication skills, desire to provide
outstanding Customer Service, good tolerance of interruptions and the
ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  Must be willing to travel
up to 30% and have familiarity with Visual Basic and/or C.

Technical Support and Applications Specialist

You will be responsible for providing high level technical support and
assistance to customers, field service engineers, domestic and
international representatives on the set-up, operation and diagnosis of
detector products.  You will also provide applications assistance in
evaluating and documenting the performance of detectors, electronics and
hardware in serving special applications.

We require an Associates in Electrical Engineering (BS preferred) and
experience with radiation measurement systems preferred.  2+ years
experience in troubleshooting instrumentation and 2+ years experience
providing technical support to customers.  To qualify you must have the
ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with customers,
representatives and Canberra personnel, strong technical background with
good troubleshooting skills, good planning and organizational skills with
the ability to multi-task, and good computer skills.  Experience in
operating Canberra instrumentation preferred.  Must be willing to travel as
needed.
