URLs for new AECB documents
RadSafers:
Sorry, when I posted the URL's last week, they didn't seem to get
through properly.
Please use the following URLs to download the new Canadian AECB
documents, which should be of interest to RSOs in Canada and other
countries. ACRP-20 (the Radiation Safety Officer Handbook) is out for
comment before it is finalized, so feel free to add your helpful
comments. Of course, it only refers to Canadian regulations, which may
be different from what applies to you.
The Radiation Safety Officer's Handbook (ACRP-20), is available for
consultation at:
http://198.103.98.211/reports/adv_comm/acrp20/acrp20_e.htm
For ACRP-20, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader which can be
downloaded free of charge from the Adobe Website, located at
http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html.
The "Proposed Guide to Ionizing Radiation Exposures for the Occupational
Physician (GMA-12)", is also available on the AECB Website, in HTML
format
http://198.103.98.211/reports/adv_comm/gma12_e/intro.htm
ACRP-20 and GMA-12 are not available in paper format.
Please be advised that both ACRP-20 and GMA-12 are only drafts, and
have not yet been finalized for publication and distribution. Still
works in progress, they have been posted on the AECB Website for
reference
purposes only. Consequently, no hard copies are available at this
time. Send your comments to Marc Lupien, the Scientific Secretary for
the AECB Advisory Committee on Radiological Protection at:
<lupien.m@atomcon.gc.ca>.
