RE: Treatment of Contaminated Personnel



Radsafers,

Something that we need to consider is the type of emergency.  If the injury
is life-threatening, the person's wellbeing should be the first priority.
All measures needed to save this person's life should be taken without
regard to the potential radiological hazards. Once the worker has been
stabilized the ALARA principles and contamination control could be applied. 

Now, I know that some situations are not black and white. A little common
sense helps too :)
