History question of sorts and patient excreta

Doses?? We don't need no stinkin' doses from excreta.

In 1994 the GAO sent a report to Congress (GAO/RCED-94-133) NUCLEAR
REGULATION Action Needed to Control Radioactive Contamination at Sewage
Treatment Plants. It states that from 1984 to 1994 there were nine instances
of contamination found at sewage treatment plants. A big concern is the
concentration of certain radionuclides in the sludge and the effect this may
have on plant workers, farmers who spread the sludge and the general public
who buys the sludge to use in home gardens, etc.

Probably not a big problem when compared to the other stuff in the sludge,
but you know how it is when radiation is involved. It will be considered by
some as Public Enemy Numero Uno.
