Instructor/Developer Position
Rocky Flats has an opening for an INSTRUCTOR/DEVELOPER in the Radiological
Safety Training Department.
DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will develop, maintain, and provide training to Radiological
Control Technicians (RCTs) and Radiological Control Technical Supervisors to
familiarize technicians with the fundamentals of radiation protection and
the proper procedures for maintaining exposures ALARA. This program
includes both classroom and hands on experience directly applicable to the
job. The incumbent will: develop, implement and provide academic and
practical training to RCTs and Radiological Control Technical; develop,
implement and provide occasional training for site managers, building
all-hands, and administrative personnel; coordinate radiological drills as a
drill controller; and write lesson plans, status reports, and provide input
for training effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Bachelor Degree in Radiation Protection, Health Physics or
equivalent.
Five years Radiation Protection experience
Two years experience as an Instructor
Candidate must have sufficient knowledge of Radiological Controls and
corresponding regulatory drivers/procedures, as demonstrated by passing the
DOE fundamental academics comprehensive examination with a score of 80% or
better.
SALARY RANGE:
$3500-$6300 per month
