NBC's anti-nuclear bias - is your town next?

The recent post regarding NBC's "Nuclear Train" TV movie has confirmed
for me that NBC has a strong anti-nuclear bias. You see, NBC is also
sponsoring a made-for TV movie by Cher to be called "Oak Ridge," and
Dateline is working on a segment on Oak Ridge.

Those of us who live and/or work in Oak Ridge and are watching the
community suffer the effects of massive DOE budget cutbacks in the 90's
are not pleased about all the negative publicity to come. Knowing the
activists hired as "technical advisors" for the Cher movie, there will
be enormous distortions of the facts. This will only hurt a town that
is trying to recast its economic base to rely more on private-sector
businesses, preferably high-tech ones, to replace the high-paying
technical jobs that are being lost.

The movie is described below:
Oak Ridge (NBC): Cher returns to the subject of health and the nuclear
industry as executive producer of this telefilm about a couple who move
to a quiet community in Tennessee only to find an alarming number of
people with rare diseases.
