PPE efficiency reduction

The Ontario Hydro Study I noted in reply to Eric Daxon's request is used and
quoted in NUREG/CR, "Protective Apparel Efficiency Reduction Values." For
those who simply need to inhale more info on this subject try the following:

"The Effect of Respiratory Protection on Worker Efficiency-ALARA
Considerations by R. Cardarelli - he gave this talk at the 1986 Pittsburgh
Annual Meeting. I'll try to get hold of him and if he lets me I'll scan the
papers I have into my system and post on the MJW WEB site for download.

"Reduced Work Tolerance Associated with Wearing Protective Clothing and
Respirators, Am Ind Hyg Assoc. J. 48(4): 304-310(1987) by White and Hodous

Physiological Consequences of Wearing Industrial Respirators: A Review, AIHA
Respiratory Protection Monograph (note: the monograph isn't very good but
this article was useful - again if I can get permission I'll try to copy and
post at the MJW web site).

shallow truth. You want a position worth defending to the death."
