Perhaps a "De-Minimis" value is in order!
Seriously, Carol's points are well stated, as is always the case.
This is a Catch-22, where you have a regulator basing their
expectations on a specific set of guidelines, that do not take into
account the variability in human terms, from the patient, to the
physician to the facility. The bottom line, as stated effectively by
Carol, is what is the risk to the patient, and how will it be
manifested? If the risk or measurable effect is non-existant, are we
expected to pay and pay some more to eliminate what need not be
mitigated in the first place?
Time to stop throwing $$ at windmills! Expend money on factors
that need to be improved, and, where there is a significant
measurable benefit.
