Re: HP Pay Scales

John,
I have been a Technician since 1987, and the latest scales, to my
knowledge are as follows:

Senior Technician--$15.00-$17.00/hour--$300-$600/wk per diem
Junior Technician---$8.00-$13.00/hour--same per diem

Obviously, the range of salary is commensurate with experience.

Some companies do offer perks like the following:

Travel pay in, and out from a site.
Frequent flyer miles each week worked during an outage, or short term
assignment.
Sign-up or job completion bonus.
Extra $1.00 an hour for completion of the NRRPT exam.
In general, the sites that are located WEST of the Mississippi River pay
more.

For all the cheerleaders out there, I worked commercial power at the ComEd
sites in Illinois, and sites out West. I have been in it since 1987, but I
have become a DOE lover also. Mr. John Moser is an acquaintance, and he hit
the proverbial nail on the head. If you need any more info on the payscales,
I would be glad to assist you.
