salt vs thyroid

We know the KI can be used to block the thyroid against radioiodine uptake.
My question is how much blockage can one expect from normal iodine uptake in
the diet?  Would an individual on a low-salt diet or who doesn't use iodized
salt expect to see a significant difference in radioiodine uptake?
