RE: Emergency plan for Sterilization Facility (silly)
Emergency Prep Tips:
1. Leave the room and don't come back without a meter.
2. Be glad you don't have an effluent pathway.
Perhaps teach the workers a couple jingles.
If the meter pegs,
you might be above the regs
If the meter's scaled out, you'd better get out
you're in trouble, there's no doubt
If you see the source, you should leave
for an hour later you're gonna heave
If you didn't pay attention whilst the source did creep
you may wind up in a crumpled heap
If for five minutes the source saw you
go clock out, because you're through

Subject: Emergency plan for Sterilization Facility
Radsafers,
I am looking for guidance documents on and/or examples of emergency
action
plans applicable to radiation incidents at a commercial megacurie
Co-60
irradiation/sterilization facility.
The facility would not be in the US, so IAEA or other non-US
guidance would
be especially welcome.
Thanks and Regards,
Wes
