Re: 2 mrem/hr limit

For I-131 inpatients that has been administered therapeutic dose, does the
2-mrem/hr limit for the general public apply in the adjacent room?


Yes. We check above and below the patient's room as well as in adjacent rooms. This is important not only for regulatory compliance but so we can assure the staff that they do not need to take precautions when caring for other patients.
