Pyrophoricity and Airborne Radioactivity

     Does anyone have data (or, at least, experience) associated with 
     airborne radioactivity released from a pyrophoric uranium and/or 
     thorium fire?  I'm working on determining adequate respiratory 
     protection for responding to such an event and it occurs to me that 
     PAPRs (with a protection factor of 1000) may not be enough.
     
     Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated.
