I assume that technical discussions are still on topic, Melissa, and perhaps important, as there appears to be an error in the reference quoted by Ron, and pointed out by Herwig. I think my numbers in the past email are correct, because by another method, taking the product of a fluence rate of 1E6/(4pi) / (s.m^2), energy of 1 MeV, yield of 1, and muen/rho of 0.03 cm^2/g, I arrive at 1.4E-7 Gy/h at 1 m. So I submit that there's a two-orders-of-magnitude error in the 1.6E-5 figure if the units are to be Gy/h.

I'll vote rads/h, because if I substitute A=37 000, E=1.25, n=2, and
d=1, I get 1.5, which looks a bit high but close enough to the 1.32 R/h at
1 m from a Ci of Co-60, which would be 1.16 rads/h to air.
