Chechenian theft of cobalt 60 - 1E16 Bq?

I was just in touch with a radiation protection friend of mine who said that 
she was aware of a message from the Swedish embassy in Moscow where they 
have mentioned nine rods, each one with 27 000 Ci = about 1E15 Bq of cobalt 
60. More independent confirmations/reports are desirable.
