Re: 10CFR20 Change - Final Rule
The Federal Register in transposing the table for Appendix A introduced a very significant error. The footnotes for SCBA operating in Demand and Demand,Recirculating, are indicated as (i). They should be (h), A correction will be printed 10/13/99 in the FR and the CFR will be correct. When you read the two footnotes you will realize how important it is to make this correction. Also the first entry in the table should be "Filtering facepiece disposable" with a superscript footnote (d), not "...disposabled." Other than that its nearly perfect and we are really happy to finally get it out.

An amendment to 10CFR20 (Respiratory Protection and Controls to Restrict
Internal Exposures) was posted on the Federal Register on 10/7/99. I don't
have a hotlink to the document, but you can search the 1999 Federal Register
site below and keyword "respiratory". You will be able to download a text or
PDF document. The rule change becomes effective 2/4/2000. Happy reading.
