Confirmation of doses to Japanese radiation victims?

One of the methods for estimating doses to Hiroshima and Nagasaki residents
was through the BREN (Bare Reactor Experiment-Nevada) tower at the Nevada
Test Site.  This 1530-foot tower accommodated an unshielded reactor on an
elevator and was used in conjunction with a recreated Japanese village to
estimate exposures.  These experiments occurred during the early 1960's.
