Re: University HP salary survey
The National Safety Council, Campus Safety Division, which is an
Association of the Campus Safety, Health and Environmental Management
professionals (CSHEMA) organization, performs this function every year for
all areas of University and College EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety)
Departments. Their "Benchmarking" Services Survey is very inclusive from
overall costs, FTE's, users, dosimetry, inspections (NRC, Agreement State,
Departmental, etc.), lasers, labs, bioassays, x-ray, non-ionizing,
training, medical, etc. and salaries (RSO's, HP's and techs).
Approximately 150 Universities and Colleges across the US participate every
year in their survey. The participants range from small to large
institutions and the survey results are categorized to reflect their sizes.
There is also a summary for each category to reflect averages for the
discipline.
