Power Reactors - Offsite Dose Limits

Don't bother arguing 100 mrem/yr versus 500 mrem/yr for power plants.  Neither
limit applies.  Power plant Tech Specs/ODCMs effectively limit off-site
exposures to the numerical guidelines of 10CFR50, Appendix I (i.e., 10 mrad/yr
gamma, 20 mrad/yr beta).

Much money is spent (e.g., processing waste water and reactor system off-gasses)
to maintain off-site doses to usually less than a fraction of a mrem per year.
