RE: NATIONAL PRIMARY DRINKING WATER REGULATIONS

EPA just announced proposed changes to drinking water standards for radon;
search the Nov. 3 Federal Register for the proposed rule at
http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/aces/fr-cont.html

Subject: NATIONAL PRIMARY DRINKING WATER REGULATIONS

Hello radsafers,

I cannot find in the US code of federal regulations (40 CFR Part 141) the
maximum permissible levels for uranium (in ppb) and radon (pCi/l) ? Are
there some specific values for these two nuclides ?

Is this regulation meant to be modified sooner or later ?

Regards,
