Re: The trend of research reactors

The US NRC Information Digest (NUREG-1350), published annually, gives the number
and a map of the nonpower reactors in the section on Operating Reactors and a
list of these reactors is included as Appendix E. The 1997 and 1998 editions
are on the net at the NRC home page (under the Reference Library). The numbers
they give are
1997: 43 operating nonpower reactors
1998: 39
I also have a hardcopy of the 1995 edition that lists 45 nonpower reactors.
Your library probably has the other editions available.
Hope this helps.

Dear Colleagues,

Obviously, the number of the research reactors in U.S. has decreased quite
significantly for the past decade. I am now trying to find the number of
research reactors as a function of time (year). Does any of you know where I
can find this information. Thanks in advance.
