DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Universities Services, Environmental Health
& Safety seeks a Radiation Control Technician to work with deliveries of
radioactive materials, performing laboratory surveys, calibration of
equipment, and routine disposals of hazardous materials. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree or equivalent certification
in Radiation or Physical Sciences AND one year of radiation handling or
monitoring experience; OR Three years of radiation monitoring
experience. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Desired knowledge of: radiation monitoring
instrumentation and methods, interpretation and applying federal, state
and university rules and regulations regarding radiation control;
principles and practices of radiation safety; laboratory procedures and
instrumentation such as liquid scintillation spectrometers,
multi-channel analyzers and proportional counters.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license upon
employment. Resume should include all employment in month/year format
(e.g. 06/88-08/94), job title, job duties and name of employer for each
position. Must provide complete information for 3 professional
references at time of interview. A fingerprint, motor vehicle, and
employment history background check will be performed prior to
employment offer. May lift up to 50 pounds.
