Bob,

Sorry, did not mean to demean your job. Rokke, I do not think would qualify to be a Health Physicist, nor does the job description of Staff Physicist that he posted on his own resume seem to merit his being termed a Health Physicist. From the resume description, he sounds more like a lab assistant than a "staff physicist", maintaining inventory does not exactly sound like a physicist's duties. In fact, he may have been more like a graduate assistant and embellished the title.

many of us consider ourselves as health physicists who do not have
certifications.

Is there anyone on this list from University of Illinois who can help me
research the following statement?

Dr. Doug Rokke, a health physicist at the University of Illinois -

Rokke's own resume describes his employment at the University as follows:

Staff Physicist; University of Illinois: Department of Chemistry, Department
of Physics, Department of Food Science, Department of Electrical
Engineering, and Department of Agricultural Engineering; 1977 - 1996.
Supported department research efforts, supervised safety, designed and
constructed research equipment, maintained department inventory, prepared
and supervised students during laboratory classes. Attended professional
meetings and courses

Since Rokke is not a CHP, one wonders how he allows the deception of the
reporter by describing him as a Health Physicist.

Thank you.
