Regional Health Physicist Position
Siemens Molecular Imaging is currently seeking a Regional Health
Physicist, to be based in Albany, NY, for the Corporate Radiological
Compliance Department. This position will primarily be responsible for
implementation of the Radiation Safety Program at the PETNET Solutions
radiopharmacies. In particular, this position will be responsible for
conducting training, performance of radiological operations, review of
effluent monitoring results, review of cyclotron operations, emergency
response and licensing of the facilities.
The candidate must have a B.S. or M.S. (preferred) in Health Physics, with
at least five years experience in operational health physics related to
nuclear pharmacies, medical facilities, and/or materials licenses.
Experience with the radiation safety issues associated with cyclotrons or
radiopharmaceutical production is very desirable. The ideal candidate
should be a self-motivated individual, have a strong technical background,
and sound knowledge of regulatory requirements (NRC/DOT/Agreement States),
and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Approximately
50% travel is required for this position.
Siemens Molecular Imaging, with corporate offices in Hoffman Estates,
Illinois, and Knoxville, Tennessee, operates 46 nuclear pharmacies
world-wide for the manufacture and distribution of PET products.
The Regional Health Physicist will be located in Albany, NY. Siemens
