If you have a low LET background (photons ) admixed you would need TLDs with Li-7 and Li-6 to subtract the low LET background as measured in the Li-7F since only the Li-6 isotope does register the thermal neutrons.

Are you looking for an actual dose from the thermal neutrons? If so,
TLD is extremely sensitive to thermal neutrons.
