On Saturday, April 15, the seals from one irradiation room at Sterigenics (GAMIRR I) have been removed which since March 31 have prohibited the use of this installation. Permission was granted again after additional redundant safety measures for the hydraulic, mechanic and electric components including procedural modifications have been implemented in this room where the cargo to be irradiated is supplied via conveyor belts. Access of personnel to this room remains prohibited.

The second irradiation room where the accident happened, GAMIRR II, remains sealed.
