"SSKI" is short for: "saturated solution of potassium iodide" which is a
salt. It is not a cleaner of any sort and will not "bind" radioiodine to any
appreciable degree. It is used as an oral blocking agent to load up a
person's thyroid gland with non-radioactive iodine so that the thyroid
uptake of I-131, or I-125, etc. is prevented. It sounds as though what you
need is a good cleaner with a chelating agent in it.....that and some "elbow
grease". Ask your nuclear medicine physician about the properties of SSKI.
