Call for Papers: 2007 NGWA Naturally Occurring Contaminants Conference: 
Arsenic, Radium, Radon, and Uranium

National Ground Water Association (NGWA) is now accepting papers for the 
2007 NGWA Naturally Occurring Contaminants Conference: Arsenic, Radium, 
Radon, and Uranium, March 22-23, 2007, in Charleston, South Carolina. 
The conference will feature papers and workshops on these four naturally 
occurring elements, which can pose problems to municipal and private 
water wells. Training on topics ranging from geochemistry to treatment 
technologies will be addressed throughout the conference.

The following topics are being considered for this conference:

    *      Drinking water treatment for arsenic, radium, radon, and uranium
    *      Occurrence and geochemistry
    *      Point-of-use and point-of-entry treatment equipment
    *      Community system design options
    *      Capital and operating costs
    *      Risk assessment and disposal issues related to treatment options
    *      Human health effects
    *      Global perspective
    *      Analytical advances
    *      Regulatory issues
    *      Case studies.

Abstracts for the 2007 NGWA Naturally Occurring Contaminants Conference: 
Arsenic, Radium, Radon, and Uranium need to be submitted online. 
Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 300 words. Biographical sketches 
need to be in paragraph form and are limited to 100 words per author. 
Abstracts are due September 7.
