Hi all,
Some time ago there had been a discussion thread about high intensity sound being used as a weapon by various countries. From the link below, it was just announced that the US plans development of a medical device to treat injured soldiers to stop internal bleeding. Early studies have demonstrated that the technique has merit.

FROM THE ABOVE:

"The US military plans a portable device that uses focused sound waves to treat troops bleeding internally from wounds sustained on the battlefield.
Ultrasound can seal ruptured blood vessels deep within the body without the need for risky surgery.

The lightweight device has to be designed so that soldiers can operate it with minimal training."
