[ RadSafe ] Health Physicist Position at Vanderbilt University

Vanderbilt Environmental Health and Safety (VEHS) department has an
immediate opening for a Health Physicist to support clinical and
research uses of radiation for Vanderbilt University.  

Duties include reviewing research protocols, performing hazard
assessments, updating radiation safety databases, ALARA report and
investigation of radiation exposures, development of standard operating
procedures, effluent calculations, development and delivery of radiation
safety training, and x-ray safety audits.

Minimum qualifications are a B.S. degree in physics, health physics,
nuclear engineering, or a related field and three years of professional
health physics experience in a clinical healthcare and academic research
environment;  or Master's degree in physics, health physics, nuclear
engineering or a related field.

The successful candidate must also have competence in writing, oral
presentations, and project management.  Strong interpersonal and
customer service skills are required.
