[ RadSafe ] Fatalities due to Internal Radioactive Material

Elsa,

There were acute dial painter cases before brush 'tipping' had been
stopped, with subsequent attention going to long-term effects, including
bone necrosis and other conditions besides bone cancer.  Of course, Eben
Byers death in 1932 at age 54 after excessive use of Radithor (3-4
vials/day with 1 uCi Ra-226 and 1 uCi Ra-228 in each vial, for 3 years.
Or is that chronic? :-).
