Just to reinforce Mike Brennans comments, I
think the point they are missing is that most of these supplies are all
ready available, I would think, they are applicable to self-protection
regardless of the incident type. They would be useful in any situation where
a family might have to shelter in place, if there is a water main break tap
the water supply and replenish when the water comes back on. Rotate canned
food through your normal use. This isn't't rocket science but increased all
hazards self-resilience behavior or for others basic "save you're ___ when
bad things happen" .
