Since the 70s 108 separate incidences were found.  Including 11 in 
2006 and 7 in the first two months of the current year,
Pieces of blade have travelled 400m .  In Germany blade pieces have 
gone through the roofs and walls of nearby buildings.

In France a 500m exclusion zone around all operational wind turbines 
has been suggested.
