Hello everyone,
I'm in need of some input concerning portable gamma spec
instrumentation. Our radiation safety program is considering the
purchase of a portable gamma radiation identification system.
Previously we purchased an URSA II for general laboratory use. It has
been a good instrument but is lacking in the portability department.
After reviewing several different manufactures (Canberra, Polismart,
Berkely Nucleonics, etc.) My interest was peaked by the Canberra
Inspector 1000. It seems to meet all our requirements for a good
portable instrument. Have any of you had the fortune of using this
particular instrument? Perhaps Comparable instruments? If so your
feedback and insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Craig Wallace
