[ RadSafe ] Looking for Markov Method Reference

Friends,

I am looking for the original paper describing the Markov method of 
determining radon progeny concentrations from gross alpha counts on a filter 
(or any paper that gives the theoretical justification for that method).

Eventually, I want to program this method and make it available on our 
"Radon Toolkit" set of uranium mining related calculators (see 
http://members.shaw.ca/eic/Tools/index.htm ).
