Members of the list in Illinois, did any of you participate in the drafting or debate of this bill? Did any of you even know that it was being worked through the State Legislature? What is needed is to keep the ear to the ground. The anti-DU crusade has aims of making use of DU a war crime and of halting nuclear power since enrichment of uranium creates DU.

AmericanDUST is the most vehement group, it is small, but very vocal and widely read all over the internet and that translates into these state votes. I think that is five states so far that they have gotten laws passed in .. maybe more. They now are pushing the NIRS attempt to kill nuclear power by removing the insurance provisions of the Price-Anderson Act.

Anyone can see the public files of this Yahoo Group AmericanDUST .. the falsely named Depleted Uranium Study Team .. study means scholarship, not putting out Mohammed Daud Miraki's horrific and probably faked photos out as gospel without verifying their source, not making Cathy Garger an expert on uranium weapons (they don't call them DU kinetic energy penetrators, they are uranium weapons and they follow the Leuren Moret that US has been using uranium weapons since WW-II)

Here is an excerpt from the anti-nuclear power Nuclear Information Research Service (NIRS) but the 50-75 activists on this group will post to dozens of groups each. Garger regularly posts to AxisofLogic and to OpEdNews, both of which get wide "progressive" e-mail group circulation.

Price-Anderson Act:
Unnecessary & Irresponsible

BACKGROUND
Congress is considering reauthorization of the Price-Anderson Act, which, since first enacted in 1957, has served as the nuclear industry's limited liability policy. To understand the magnitude and purpose of Price-Anderson, try this simple exercise: Take out your home- or business-owner insurance policy and look for the "Nuclear Hazard Exclusion Clause."
