She has been an activist since the days of Saddam - 

Susan Harris, PhD, director of the film Poison Dust, is a practicing
clinical psychologist, filmmaker and activist and co-director of Peoples
Video Network (PVN). In 1995 Harris accompanied Ramsey Clark to Iraq as a
videographer in order to document the effects of the sanctions on the people
of Iraq and produced a video called The Children Are Dying.
