This just made me realize, I'm a walking biological detector. When my body
is invaded by a virus, it builds up inside me, and then the alarm
sounds...aaahhhCHOOO!!!!

(I must be a little dingy from using my new Christmas treadmill.)

I think smoke detectors require permitting as chemical detectors. As
one of the stated goals is to prevent false positives from needlessly
alarming the public and part of the permitting process it character
checking of the person seeking the permit, I expect that the Police
Commissioner will be refusing permits to people who repeatedly burn
toast.
