Pime 2009

15 - 18 February 2009, Edinburgh, United Kingdom

*PIME 2009 takes the high road to Edinburgh*

* *

Preparations for ENS PIME 2009 in Scotland's beautiful capital city (15 – 18
February 2009) are well under way. A preliminary programme is available now
(www.pime2009.org) and you are invited to *send in your abstracts by 15
December* *at the latest,* whether for oral presentation or in poster
format. We would especially like to receive abstracts related to the key
issues of waste management and the transport of nuclear materials.

*Innovation*

* *

ENS is always keen to innovate when it comes to programme format and content
and PIME 2009 will introduce, for the first time, a new working session
format during the afternoon of Day 1. The emphasis will be on
highly-interactive break-out discussions, during which you can discuss the
priority communications issues of your choice – ones that are of common
concern to you and your fellow communicators. You are welcome to use
posters, *Powerpoint* presentations or written materials to encourage a
lively and focused debate

A number of subjects have already been identified for discussion during this
new session, including knowledge management, the impact of emotions when
communicating about nuclear energy, communicating new-build, the "media
snowball effect" etc.
