Humberto,

We've known at least one technician at BioNiquest for many years. I believe they used to be Beckman tech's that formed their own company for various reasons.

One of our labs recently bought a used 6500 from them, and it seems to work quite well.

Feel free to call or e-mail directly with other questions.

Subject: [ RadSafe ] Looking for Used Liquid Scintillation Counter

Greetings:
My campus is looking to purchase a new or used LSC. Our Packard TriCarb 1600 is having mechanical failures, and we need to secure a new or used machine. I have already contacted Beckman Coulter and Perkin Elmer, so I have an idea of what they will cost new.

With the budget the way it is, administration wants to also see what the options are for a used LSC as well. Are there any vendors that sell used equipment that you would recommend? I have found a few used equipment vendors in Google, but I was hoping someone here knows of a vendor, or may have an LSC that they are looking to sell that would serve our needs for a few more years. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
