Regarding the suggestion that an epidemiological study should be made of those who work most around non-ionizing radiation, that's been done.  A few years back, electrical utility workers who worked in T&D areas where they were routinely exposed to non-ionizing radiation were compared to other workers in the same utilities who were not so exposed.  No differences were found.  I believe EPRI was involved in the study.  Of course, one could always argue that the statistical power simply wasn't great enough to detect the effects.  Or decide the effects were so low - - - -  who cares?
