 One major fact that has been overlooked in the ongoing debate about radon from DU is that the radon emanating fraction (radon that actually leaves the host matrix) is probably several orders of magnitude LESS than that from uranium tailing sands.  If the DU is disposed of in metallic form (perhaps ingots) the perceived problem of radon from DU disposal will likely be moot.  If true, this would make a very small risk an infinitesimally small risk.
