Sandy, there is a 25 mrem cleanup limit as follows: "NRC’s Radiological Criteria for License Termination (See 62 FR 39058, July 21, 1997). The NRC rule set an allowable cleanup level of 25 millirem per year (equivalent to approximately 5 x 10-4 increased lifetime risk) as the primary standard with exemptions allowing dose limits of up to 100 millirem per year (equivalent to approximately 2 x 10-3 increased lifetime risk). "

Not the limit I would have used in comparison but it is a limit nevertheless.

Good coverage tonight, except for the following statement:
Estimated 0.005 mrem per scan and then, the government recommends 25 mrem from a
ingle source per year is 25 mrem! What is this 25 mrem value? What are they
alking about?
Otherwise, a good story.
