Dear Colleagues:
More and more networks dealing with occupational exposure, putting together
different types of stakeholders have been set up recently (for specific
topics or sectors, or for all sectors, by region or worldwide); they are
always relying on communication and exchanges through direct contacts, in
workshops-work in groups, complemented by emails, web sites and forum.
Therefore the situation becomes more and more complex and there is a need
for providing all stakeholders dealing with occupational exposure
(regulatory bodies, workers, managers, radiological protection devices
manufacturers) with a simplified and comprehensive knowledge about existing
networks and their outputs. This will allow avoiding duplications, spreading
good practices and facilitating ALARA implementation. These are the
objectives of the website which is requested as an action 7 by the IAEA/ILO
International Action Plan on Occupational Radiation Protection.
