Thanks very much for posting this detailed and interesting information.
 
University research reactors are now quite rare in the UK - we only have CONSORT (see below).  This was brought home to me 2 years ago when one of our nuclear MSc project students had to go to Vienna to take part in a research reactor based training course.
 
"The CONSORT design reactor is owned by, and licensed to, Imperial College London, and has been in continuous safe operation since 1965. It is the only remaining civil research reactor in the UK, one of some 260 operating worldwide."
