If you talk to a Nuclear Engineer, and mention Th or U-233, the deal is
dead. They start parroting "proliferation" and become focused on the
possible production of weapons.
I think the Thorium fuel cycle is well worth the investment, but the
political rhetoric that has clouded the thinking of the people who can make
the decision to utilize it must be overcome. That is the real issue here.

Subject: [ RadSafe ] Thorium! Thorium reactor remixed lecture in 16 minutes
All,
I know that this subject has been brought up before, but... This is an
interesting mix of lectures on Thorium reactors/power. I've read and seen
bits and pieces on this subject before and have always wondered why this
hasn't been explored further.. There must be some negative aspect to using
Thorium instead of Uranium (besides the money needed to change design
specs)...
Anyone have any thoughts on this...
